Woman Fined for an Innocent Facebook comment!

Today, Facebook is the biggest social networking giant. People can easily get in touch with others and communicate. It is the mordern era in which people share their feeling via Facebook with the intention of communication. But we all can't interpret others' feelings in the correct way. But still what one person says may feel completely different for the other.

One woman is really working hard on how to phrase her comments on Facebook because she has been fined for her comment on a group page. The woman is a member of the Facebook group "Whalon Lake Dog Park" out of Bolingbrook, Illinois.

Here’s what her initial comment said, according to CNET:

“I was feeling bad that I haven’t bought a pass and been bringing Ginger there but I’m pretty glad I haven’t. So not going to worry about it until later. I hope all the doggies get better soon.” Doesn’t seem so bad, right?

It turns out an employee of the park district saw the woman’s post, showed it to a supervisor, who eventually made sure that the woman got sent a $50 citation for using the park without an updated permit. To make matters even worse, no one even checked to see if she’d even been to the park with her dog (which she hadn’t)!

Ultimately, she was able to convince them she hadn’t been to the private park for over a year, and they cancelled her fine, but let this be another warning to all Facebook users: be careful what you post online!

Now let's discuss the Upload Date,Duration and Result Type search Operators.

1.  Find Long Videos

In youtube you can search for long videos . Long videos are the ones which exceed 20 minutes. To searchh for a video longer than 20 minutes you can add "long" after your query.

2. Find Short Videos

In youtube short videos are less than 4 minutes. To search for short videos, add "short" after the search query.

3. Search for a Movie 
You can also search for a movie by using the "movie" operator.

4.Search within a specific time frame.
Youtube provides you with a special feature to search for videos within a time range. THe time frame operators are - "day" "week" "month" and "year"

5.Mix all the filters the way you wish
You can mix all the above operators(filters) the way you like.

Now let's discuss the search query modifying operators.

1.  Find Videos With Exact Search Term.

Consider the following example :-

  IIT coaching intitle:online
Without the intitle operator the search will display videos of IIT coaching offline also. With the intitle operator the search will return only those videos that have the word online word in them.
So for doing an exact search term add "intitle:your word" to the search query.

2. Exact Match Search

The best part of the search operators is that you can do an exact match search which means you can do a search which will return the videos with the exact title specified and also in the same order.

3. Exclude some terms from a query
Use a (-) sign or hiphen in front of a word to exlude that word in the title, description or keywords.

4.Doing an alternate search
If you want to search for videos with either the 1st word or the 2nd word in it then u can do so by adding "OR" in between them.

title:Jennifer Lopez OR Pitbull 

5.Grouping words in search
You can group word in search using parentheses - {}

title:{japaneese food}

Advanced Youtube search using Simple commands - Part 2

In my last i have discussed about 5 Youtube Search Operators to make your youtube experience better.

Now let's discuss the next 5 Youtube search Operators. In this post I will discuss how to search for the features of a video in a better manner.

1.  Get Videos that have an HD version

If you want to see videos that have a High Definition version available, then you can add the “hd” keyword to your search query.

2. Search for 3D Videos

You can also search for 3D videos on Youtube. By adding "3D" after your search terms you can ask youtube to list the videos which have a 3D version

PS: You should have 3D glasses or 3D screen to watch these videos or else there is no point searching for them. :P

3. Search for a Close Caption Video
Close Caption are the videos which have a transcript and have a CC tag. It means the videos have subtitles option. If you are searching for a video of spanish language then you would need some English Transcript to understand it. This option will come handy at that time.To search for videos in this category type the below code

4.Find Live Streaming Youtube Videos
If you want to search for Live streaming Matches, Video conferences and shows then add "live" after your query.

5.Find videos which are purchased and available for purchase
If you want to search for videos which are purchased or videos that you want to purchase then type in the search query with "purchase" after it.

3. Search for a Video Playlist.

The above Search query will return all the videos with a music tag in it. An alternate way to do it is :

Anyone who noticed Google's Logo change?

Google changed it's Logo last week and did not make any official announcements. You may have surfed the net over the past week but you may have not recognized the change.
Actually, all they did was shift the letter around my a few pixels.
Still confused because you did not notice the change.

This pic by Ron Amaedo posted on Google+ can clear your confusion-

This change was first noticed by a sharp eye on Reddit.

I am personally shocked how could someone even notice such a small pixel-change!

What a huge difference isnt it?

Later one of the Google worker replied that the company was happy after people observed the change and appreciated it. He also said that the main intention behind the change was to make the logo more sharper so that systems with low resolution could also view the logo in a better way.
